Pay to Play: Some iPhone App Sites Demand Money for Reviews

This has been happening since the iPhone first had third-party programs.

But beyond that is the bigger issue of graft itself.

People accepting long-term “loaner” units from companies in exchange for “reviews” which strangely are always — always! — slanted to be “positive”.

People accepting free trips to trade shows or “conferences.”

It’s one thing to tout the work of people you know. I will do that — but I will do it because I find their work worthy.

But I’m not here at this blog — nor put here on this earth — to kiss anyone’s ass.
