That Personal Thing

I’ve got a personal thing that might happen tomorrow, Thursday, March 4 Friday, March 5.

If it does, I will be completely offline for three days.

Let’s add another day to that, just in case.

So, if there aren’t any new posts after this one until Monday Tuesday, now you know why.

The blog isn’t suspended or dead. It’s trapped by a personal thing.

iPad Links: Thursday, March 4, 2010

Stuff directly or indirectly for or about the iPad, in no real order. These posts will likely be discontinued once an iPad is in hand.

— I agree with that generally, but see my past posts about smart digital books. It’s not just about text flow but he’s correct in stating that’s a good dividing line between p and e right now.

Need Work? Make iPad Stands

Go see this Flickr set of iPhone stands made from LEGO.

It occurred to me there are plenty of unemployed people out there. I know how that is. I’ve been there.

If you’re sitting around applying for jobs and waiting for Something To Happen, you’ll be on the street before long.

If you have some manual skills, start thinking about making stands for the iPad. Especially if you have a woodworking shop.

You can sell them on etsy and even auction them off on eBay.

You probably won’t get rich, but you’ll be doing something and earning some money.

If you’re looking to get rich, you better have more than basic woodworking skills and come out with something that’s a cross between functionality and collectible art.
